Carbon Neutral operations.

The Knight is proudly carbon neutral in our operations. This means that we offset the carbon emissions we produce, via reforesting efforts in Papua New Guinea.

We are Climate Active certified, so when you support The Knight, you are supporting climate action.

Additionally, we are always looking for ways to reduce our emissions and waste. Our Sustainability Committee is tasked with implementing improvements, and educating our team about greener choices, both at work and at home.

Our Reconciliation Journey.

The Knight acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.

We understand the importance of reconciliation action, to build relationships, respect and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Action we have taken includes:

  • Ceasing all social activities held for ‘Australia Day’
  • Moving our Australian Knight Award announcement off January 26
  • Allowing staff to work January 26 and choose an alternate day off
  • Adding an Acknowledgement of Country to all internal & client meeting agendas

MAD Foundation.

The MAD foundation helps the lives of disabled and disadvantaged young people through funding life-changing support equipment and services. The Knight is proud to be a major sponsor of MAD, supporting them to achieve their mission and vision and ‘Make A Difference’.

Each year, The Knight is a platinum sponsor of the annual MAD Foundation Ball, which in 2019 helped raise over $275,000 to support dozens of beneficiaries, including the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Cancer Council.

Each year, The Knight hosts a Biggest Morning Tea in our office to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

We have been hosting our morning teas for over a decade, proudly setting new fundraising records with each edition.

The work of the Cancer Council is close to the hearts of many. 1 in 2 Australians is diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. We are proud to support such an important cause, working to change this shocking statistic.
