Callum EvansChief Executive Officer (CEO)
Callum has held a number of roles within The Knight over the years, most recently serving on the Board of Directors/Advisory Board. Since 2010, he has built extensive experience in the commercial, residential, and specialist accommodation development space – bringing fresh perspectives and a strategic mindset shaped by years in the industry.
In 2025, Callum officially stepped into the role of CEO, with a focus on strategy and leadership. With years of close involvement and a deep understanding of our business, Callum brings strategic insight, financial and commercial acumen, and strong, focused leadership to The Knight.
Callum’s appointment ensures that we are set up to make smart decisions, allocate resources effectively, and stay closely aligned with the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Gregor EvansDirector of Client Services
Gregor joined The Knight in 2005, starting out in administrative and support roles before progressing through a range of positions across the business. Over the years, he has built an unrivalled knowledge of our service model and developed a deep understanding of what truly matters to our clients.
In his current role, Gregor is focused on ensuring our service is reliable and closely aligned with our client’s needs. He also leads how we grow, communicate, and build lasting client relationships – ensuring we deliver genuine value at every stage of the journey.
This role draws directly on Gregor’s strengths and passions, allowing him to dedicate his energy where it has the greatest impact for both our clients and our team. Gregor’s focus is clear: ensuring consistently excellent client experiences.
In 2021, Gregor was appointed President of the Strata Community Association Victoria a position he held for 2 years.

Scott McCannDirector of People & Systems
Scott has been part of The Knight team since 2012, steadily progressing through a range of roles to his current position as Director of People & Systems. With a solid background in both Operations and General Management, he brings a deep understanding of how our business runs – our people, our processes, and the culture that sets us apart.
In his current role, Scott leads our HR, training, systems, and change initiatives – ensuring our internal capabilities grows with our ambition. His focus is on continual improvement, helping us work smarter while supporting a strong, connected, and high-performing team. Because delivering service excellence starts with a happy, empowered team, Scott’s work is central to making sure our people have the tools, support, and culture they need to thrive.
In 2023, Scott was a finalist in the inaugural ‘Leadership Award’ category at the Strata Community Association (VIC) Awards for Excellence.

Taylor joined The Knight in the role of Owners Corporation Manager’s Assistant in 2017 and rapidly progressed to the role of Owners Corporation Manager, providing her organisational and problem-solving prowess to all her clients. Prior to joining us she had spent over 6 years honing her customer service and management skills in the retail and beauty industries. After a 5-year tenure with The Knight, Taylor was promoted to the role of People & Culture Manager where she uses her natural people skills to support our strong internal culture.

Tom HoodOCM Team Leader
Tom joined The Knight in 2017, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the industry, including in Senior Owners Corporation Manager roles. Prior to starting with The Knight, Tom had spent time as an appointed administrator and managed large and complex Owners Corporations, experience which has positioned him as a trusted and respected member of the team and resulted in his 2019 promotion to the role of Owners Corporation Manager Team Leader. In 2020 Tom was awarded Senior Owners Corporation Manager of the year in the SCA Vic Awards for Excellence.

Anand BalaOCM Team Leader
Anand joined The Knight in October 2018 as an experienced Owners Corporation Manager with strong financial management skills and the ability to solve even the most complex of problems. Prior to entering the strata industry Anand had studied Mechanical Engineering, with a Masters in Facilities Management and 10 years’ experience in the field. In 2022, Anand was promoted to the role of Team Leader allowing him to provide mentoring and share his extensive expertise with the broader Owners Corporation Management team.

Kate is our newest OCM Team Leader, bringing to The Knight over 6 years of Owners Corporation Management and Real Estate experience. This includes the management of commercial and high-rise OCs over 300 lots. Kate’s top skills include forming strong relationships, meticulous attention to detail and her time-management & prioritisation. Before joining the strata industry, Kate studied nursing, and her passions outside of work include musical theatre, debating and calisthenics.

Melissa De Silva JayasekeraBusiness Development Manager
Melissa joined The Knight in 2007 as an office trainee and over her tenure has provided endless support to her colleagues, become the go-to expert on a variety of topics and – after years of helping to grow the business with her infectious enthusiasm and attention to detail – was integral in the formation of the Client Onboarding Team.
Today, using her extensive expertise in all elements of establishing OCs, she works closely with the Managing Director, The Knight’s developer clients and the Client Onboarding Team to ensure a smooth set up and handover process.

Mariah has been with The Knight since 2009, working her way through various integral roles within the organisation including as an Owners Corporation Manager’s Assistant where she gained much of her extensive industry knowledge.
In 2022 she stepped into the role of Client Onboarding Team Leader and is responsible for ensuring the on-boarding process for new clients is problem free, and the team is operating at maximum efficiency.
Mariah is methodical and calm, with an approachable demeanour and witty sense of humour which helps her clients feel valued and her team feel supported.

Ella is our Marketing & Communications Manager, joining The Knight in 2019 to oversee our online presence, newsletters, educational content and events. Ella is passionate about sustainability and social responsibility, spearheading our Australian Knight campaign each year, and also managing our community and sustainability grants. Internally, she has volunteered on our Sustainability and Wellbeing Committees, and in 2023, Ella won the Australasian Support Team Member Award, for her focus on developing educational content & events for our clients and the broader strata sector.

Vanessa joined The Knight in 2024 with a strong background working in continuous improvement, workflow management and customer service design across varied sectors such as education, post and health insurance.
Vanessa’s passion is instilling a customer-centric ethos into the teams she works with, implementing stringent quality assurance protocols, and cultivating a positive and inclusive work culture to foster employee engagement and satisfaction. She also has experience implementing performance data and reporting, with a focus on promoting consistency in administrative practices.
She combines this passion and expertise in her role of Client Support Manager, overseeing our team of Client Support Coordinators and Officers, and pushing for customer service excellence.
