The Knight Community Grant: Balmoral Apartments

On Sunday 24th November, Balmoral Apartments was the third building of 2019 to host their community building initiative, Bubbles in the Garden.

The gardens at Balmoral are something of a talking point in themselves, designed by award-winning landscape designer Paul Bangay, so it’s no wonder residents take any opportunity to gather in the leafy oasis.

The beautiful spring weather only provided further encouragement for Owners and Residents alike to step out, BYO glass in hand, and partake in the spread of bubbles, cheese, fruits and sweet treats.

A flourishing community.

It’s clear the Committee at Balmoral take great pride in their property, and the sense of welcome is felt immediately when stepping through the foyer and into the gardens. Those at the event varied from the very first buyer off the plan, through to a recently settled Owner yet to move into her new property.

It was especially lovely to see the community interact with Owners Corporation Manager, Taylor Whitefoot, and Manager’s Assistant, Tara – even inviting Taylor to say a few words, with a warm response from guests.

The Knight would like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee for their dedication to the community at Balmoral, and for inviting us to be a part of that community – the afternoon was one of great hospitality and neighbourhood spirit and it is our absolute pleasure to provide this grant to see so many residents come together.

The Knight’s community building grants.

The benefits of a strong community within a Strata property include increased security, reduced tenant turn over, and improved resident well being. While as Owners Corporation Managers, our main role is to facilitate the management of common property, we believe strongly that we also have a role to play in the facilitation of a strong community spirit.

This is why each year The Knight awards grants to Committees looking to implement a community building initiative at their property. Balmoral was the third property for 2019 to implement their initiative, with activities ranging from Christmas in July celebrations to Trick or Treating and with all sharing the common goal of getting neighbours together to get to know each other better.

Keep an eye out on our Facebook page, and be sure to be subscribed to our newsletter to find out about the upcoming application process, and how The Knight could help your Committee with community building in 2020.
