At The Knight, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of both our clients and our team.
An important part of this is our Owners Corporation Team Leaders. They provide support, mentorship, and management to our Owners Corporation Managers, and a key point of escalation, additional expertise, and leave coverage for our clients.
We first appointed an OCM Team Leader back in 2017, and in the years since have created new positions to reflect our growing workforce and portfolio. A second was appointed in 2019, and a third in 2021.
Now, we are pleased to announce the appointment of a fourth Owners Corporation Manager Team Leader. This fourth appointment, however – rather than a response to growth – represents a conscious decision to reduce team sizes.
Smaller teams ensure that our Team Leaders are more available for clients and team members alike, and that our operations remain sustainable for all.
Introducing Kate Trickey.
Kate is our newest OC Team Leader, bringing to The Knight over 6 years of Owners Corporation Management and Real Estate experience. This includes the management of commercial and high-rise OCs over 300 lots.
Kate’s top skills include forming strong relationships, meticulous attention to detail and her time-management & prioritisation.
Before joining the strata industry, Kate studied nursing, and her passions outside of work include musical theatre, debating and calisthenics.
Kate will be leading a team of four Owners Corporation Managers, and two Manager’s Assistants. She also has the support of her fellow OCM Team Leaders who share a combined 15 years’ experience with The Knight.
How we support our Managers, so they can support you.
As mentioned, Team Leaders play an important role in ensuring our Managers receive the support that they need, but it doesn’t stop there.
All our Managers work closely with an Assistant who provides administrative support and acts as another contact point for clients. They are also supported by an OC Accountant who ensures accurate financials and provides specialist advice when needed.
Furthermore, we have support teams in place to handle enquiries, insurance, access, and more, freeing our Managers to focus on strategic tasks and supporting the committee.
