On the 11th of October at Pullman Melbourne, the CHU SCA (Vic) Symposium 2019 took place. At the conclusion of the event, the SCA recognised excellence within the industry over the past 12 months.

The recognition was awarded over 9 categories, celebrating small to large Community Management businesses, Senior Community Managers and the Rising Stars and Support Team Members who help raise the standing of the strata industry, every day.

The Knight was given recognition in two categories, receiving the 2019 Victorian Award for Excellence for “Strata Community Management Business – Large” and also “Support Team Member” for our Acquisitions Coordinator, Mariah Whitefoot.

The past 12 months have been a period of immense growth and transformation here at The Knight, and we are so proud to have been recognised for our efforts in innovation, leadership and customer service through these awards.

WINNER – Victorian Strata Management Business of the Year (Large).

This award was blindly judged by industry peers on factors including growth strategies, training and development of staff and business ethics.

The winner was required to demonstrate how their business is unique, their service ethos including relationship building and client focus and how staff are inducted and trained to ensure excellence.

The Knight is proud to have been voted among our industry peers for demonstrating innovation and excellence in these areas, and receiving this award is demonstration of our industry leading service & approach to Owners Corporation Management.

WINNER – Victorian Support Team Member of the Year.

This category went to our Acquisitions Coordinator, Mariah Whitefoot, who has been a part of The Knight family for over 10 years now.

In Mariah’s role she is the main point of contact for all our incoming properties. She ensures a smooth handover from the previous management company to The Knight, conducts the handover to the new Management Team and is unwavering in the support and guidance she provides to our clients and her colleagues.

The judging questions included giving examples of going above and beyond for colleagues, commitment to personal and career growth and providing input for a significant positive change within the business.

Receiving this award recognises all these qualities within Mariah while also illustrating The Knight’s focus on employing quality staff and equipping them with the tools required to succeed – for the benefit of all our clients.
