A new standard of luxury: How Saint Moritz is raising the bar.

A sunset view from a luxury beachside balcony at Saint Moritz.

Perfectly positioned with uninterrupted bay views, in walking distance to St Kilda’s bustling restaurant and nightlife strips on Acland & Fitzroy Streets, and with Melbourne landmarks like Luna Park, The Palais and The Espy right outside, Saint Moritz undoubtedly has the resort-like location sorted.

But the surrounds pale in comparison to the inclusions. Despite all the temptations on their doorstep, residents could be forgiven for never leaving the property. This project has thoroughly considered both every convenience, and every indulgence.

A bit about the project.

Saint Moritz is a 152-lot development, with three main residential towers: the 23-lot Grand Esplanade, 61-lot Azura and 47-lot Pacific House. It also includes 20 lots known as ‘Chairman’s Lounges’ which are privately owned working spaces on the ground floor of Grand Esplanade.

There is a full-time Building Manager to oversee maintenance and ensure everything is running smoothly, and Saint Moritz has gone a step further, offering 24-hour concierge services, and even a personal driver for trips within a 10km radius. The building is equipped with Building Management software, plus a unique hospitality platform for booking and paying for the numerous offerings at Saint Moritz.

These offerings ensure that residents will feel the luxury and excitement of a holiday, every day. Firstly, there is the Samsara Spa, featuring salt, massage & relaxation rooms, a floatation pod, and a cryogenic chamber. Residents can book treatments via an app for themselves and their guests.

A beauty salon allows residents to get glammed up for events without leaving the property and a fully fitted gym, pool, spa, sauna & steam room help residents achieve all their health and fitness goals.

Poker, billiards, virtual golf, a library, a kids play area and cinema facilities ensure boredom is never a problem, and even the more mundane has been considered, with a workshop, carwash & dog wash all on site.

Residents can enjoy private dining rooms, lounges, champagne & wine bars, and benefit from the fully fitted commercial kitchen and hospitality team, who can provide food and beverage catering for all your dinner party plans. You can even order a meal direct to your apartment, a hotel-like touch of luxury rarely seen in residential buildings.

Despite its extensive amenities and impressive apartment floorplates, the GURNER team are also hard at work getting the project Climate Active certified as a carbon-neutral building, ensuring Saint Moritz is laden with luxury, yet light in impact.

Bringing the vision to life.

Setting up the owners corporation of a complex project like this is no mean feat. Ensuring the details are right from the beginning can save a lot of costly and hard to rectify oversights later. The Knight was proud to partner with the project team at GURNER to ensure their vision was brought to fruition.

In the end, Saint Moritz was set up with six owners corporations. This number of OCs is unusual for a property of relatively few lots, and illustrates the size and breadth of the offering at this project. Owners Corporations 2-4 each represent one residential tower, with OC5 covering all the recreational areas and OC6 representing just the Chairman’s Lounges.

While complex, this set up helps ensure that expenses are correctly allocated to the owners they benefit, and that communication and decision making can be more efficiently targeted to affected owners.

Each OC has its own rules and budget, and our Developer Support Team worked closely with GURNER to ensure these met the needs of future owners and were in place to support harmonious and well-maintained communities moving forward.

“Working with the team at The Knight ensured we had the expertise behind us to make this ambitious project a success. We’re not OC experts, and the requirements for developers are complex, so that support is paramount.”

Gerald Ackroyd, GM Operations, Property and Hospitality.

The Knight’s ongoing service.

The lifestyle at Saint Moritz has been revealing and cementing itself over the past 6 months, as what was once a dream becomes reality.

The Knight’s Developer Support Team have continued to work with GURNER as they complete the remaining stages of construction, and the Owners Corporation Management Team have been working closely with the Committee, Owners and Building Management to provide guidance and support.

Being such a revolutionary project, ultimately our role is in ensuring the success of the Owners Corporation as it finds it’s feet, and empowering residents to make the most of the unparalleled recreational amenities afforded to them.

We look forward to the next wave of luxury developments this project will no doubt inspire, and hope to partner with developers across Melbourne to bring them to life.
