Our Australian Knight.
Each year, staff at The Knight recognise a worthy recipient for our ‘Australian Knight’ award who has demonstrated qualities that personify those of a Knight, including bravery, selflessness and leadership.
Staff can nominate a person or charity doing work within the community for the betterment of others. Nominees are voted upon by all staff to determine a winner, who is awarded $10,000 to put towards their mission.
The Knight has to date donated over $100,000 to charities nationwide through our Australian Knight award.
The Knight have been running our Australian Knight award since 2010, which up until 2020 was announced as part of our Australia Day celebrations.
From 2021 onwards, the announcement has been moved away from Australia Day in solidarity with our First Nations people.
The MAD foundation helps the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children and young people through funding life-changing support equipment and services. The Knight is proud to be a major sponsor of MAD, supporting them to achieve their mission and vision and Make A Difference.
Each year, The Knight is also a platinum sponsor of the Annual MAD Foundation Ball, which in 2019 helped raise over $275,000 to support dozens of beneficiaries, including the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Other charity work.
The Knight is always seeking new ways to support the community and looking for charities which align with our values.
Our team raise money each month which is donated to a charity nominated by staff and each year we host a morning tea as part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to support the Cancer Council. 2019 was our 8th annual Biggest Morning Tea and we raised a huge $2,171.30!
If you have a suggestion of a charity you think The Knight should support, we’d love to hear it! Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
